Getting There
The easiest airport to fly into is Denver International Airport (DEN). The closest airport to Salida is Colorado Springs Airport (COS). From Denver, the drive to Salida is approximately 3 hours. From Colorado Springs, the drive is about 2 hours.
You’ll want to rent a car to get to Salida, and carpooling with friends is a great option if you’re able. The drive into town is scenic and beautiful, so give yourself a little extra time and enjoy the mountain views!

Where to Stay
We recommend booking accommodations from Thursday, August 6 through Sunday, August 9 or Monday, August 10, depending on your plans. August is a busy time in Salida, so we highly encourage booking lodging as soon as possible.

The best options for staying close to downtown are Airbnb, VRBO, or Pinon Vacation Rentals. Hotels located directly in town include The Manhattan Hotel, Palace Hotel, and Woodland Motel. While not the fanciest, Woodland Motel is a convenient close option to downtown.

Within a five minute drive or a twenty minute walk of downtown are Amigo Motor Lodge, Loyal Duke Lodge, and The American Classic Inn. For a more scenic and quiet stay, consider Creekside Chalets or riverfront Airbnbs located about twenty minutes away in Howard.

We truly cannot emphasize this enough, we recommend staying as close to downtown Salida as possible. Since Uber and taxi services are limited, staying within walking distance of downtown will make your weekend easier and more enjoyable. Downtown Salida is the heart of everything happening that weekend. On our wedding day, Saturday, we’ll be shuttling guests from Riverside Park and another pickup location near the hotels off US-50 to the wedding venue, The Barn at Howard Creek Farm.
